Wailuku State Park (Boiling Pots Waterfall)

Address:  Waianuenue Ave., About ½ mile above the Hilo Medical Center

Description:  .  This stop is just a mile above Rainbow Falls.  From Hilo, first stop by Rainbow Falls, then go farther up the street to stop at Boiling Pots.  It is the same river, just upstream. 

After leaving Rainbow Falls, continue up Waianuenue 1.6 miles.  From the parking lot you walk a very short distance to the look-out area.  Going to the water requires going beyond the hand rail and ignoring the Keep Out signs.  In prior years people did it all the time.  Now, the barriers and signage have kept everyone out.
